Introduction to Arc Welding

The Introduction to Arc Welding certificate prepares students for entry-level welding employment. This certificate is designed to provide a multi-disciplined learning experience for a beginning and intermediate welding student. Students will take foundation courses in industrial safety, blueprint reading, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG). Welding will be performed in multiple positions on plate steel and sheet metal.

Admission Requirements
Students who are at least 18 years old and have acceptable scores from the SAT, ACT or placement test can be admitted into this program without a high school diploma or GED.
